It seems that many chasers add amber and clear lights to their vehicles during chasing activities.

Do you have lights? Are you for or against them?

Do you think lights could actually create more hazards?

I used to have lights and used them only when doing special events or emergency situations. I have mixed feelings about the light system. Mainly, some tend to use them when they shouldn't. It can create a hazard during emergency situations especially when someone rather handle situations by themselves tand on top of that, some drivers totally ignore yellow or white flashing lights, even in emergency situations like tornado situations.

I had a light and the only time I would activate it was if there were downed power lines or something hazardous.

I always used hazards when on the side of the road because that's what everyone does when on the side of the road. Everyone should know that vehicles on the side of the road with hazards on means you need to use caution.

It all depends on the legalities of you state. I was authorized to have red and whites when I was a working Paramedic. I did use them when on the side of the road for all emergencies. White/amber are allowed on all stationary vehicles and slow moving. Haven't put them in my new truck yet.

I used blue lights back when I was a firefighter. I only used them when traffic was heavy; otherwise, I never really needed them.

Nowadays, I'll use my hazards. That's all I really need. I thought about getting a grill lightbar to have extra brights in case I need to chainsaw a tree out of my way and it's dark.
