Howdy everyone,
I'm Shawn Gossman, your trusty forum administrator!
I created this community for storm spotters and friends to discuss spotting, radio, weather, and even chasing. It's free, there are no ads, and we're keeping it simple.
A bit about me: I've been a certified storm spotter for over 20 years and have elite spotter training. I also have education and experience in public and private sector emergency management and fire department management (former assistant fire chief).
I work as a surveillance operator now. Not NSA or anything like that, LOL.
I have an MBA and another Masters that concentrates on emergency management/anti-terrorism/counterintelligence studies.
I'm 40, a male, married, and I live in rural Massac County in Southern Illinois. My local NWS reporting office is Paducah, Kentucky.
I'm also big into hiking, cycling, camping, blogging, and running other forums.
I look forward to getting to know you all!
